Rhys King and his team from the landscaping vertical of this business, Just Scape It, transformed the exterior of my house in Sydney’s Inner West. I think it’s fair to say that it used to be a jungle. It had a huge pond that was badly positioned and meant that no one could use our garden except for the mosquitoes, fish and frogs.

The end result is an open, leafy expanse of outdoor space that has really transformed our experience of living in this house.

And we were able to rehome the fish and frogs!

Rhys and his team were exceptionally professional. The quotes were detailed and transparent, and they endeavoured to save money where possible, for example, by salvaging pieces of old sandstone from the garden that they recut to reduce the amount of new sandstone that we had to order.

He also happily accommodated a few significant changes to the plans made on the fly.

I would be very glad to recommend Rhys for landscaping design and construction.

Thanks to Rhys, Brad, Ricardo & the Just Scape It team for the excellent work they’ve done in transforming the exterior/facade of our cottage in Leichhardt. The works included landscaping, tiling, rendering, painting and some building works – from the design phase to construction.

Nothing was a hassle for the team and it was clear that they took pride in their work, the workmanship was of high quality. It was appreciated that they always offered solutions during the project, not just problems and were conscious of our budget throughout.

The job did run over time, but we were faced with bad weather, material shortages and lack of availability of some trades, the main thing is they kept us informed along the way and minimised disruption to our home life, where possible.

I wanted to say a big thank you to the team that worked on the job at our house – we are so happy with everything and the entire team did a great job. Careful thought was put into all aspects of the job, the final result was of very high standard and the garden was left neat and tidy and looking wonderful!

In particular I’d like to call out Richardo as he was an absolute pleasure to work with. A few specifics I thought worth mentioning – 

1. He thought ahead which made him think of some really clever things before I even had to ask him. For example, he saved undamaged deck panels so that they could be used elsewhere and also made sure the flower bed on the side of the deck was well catered for by specifically creating a contained area for that
2. He ensured we were across what he was doing – for the privacy screen he put up a few panels and then checked the gap with us before continuing, which was so important as we ended up changing the gap and so agreeing early on ensured nothing had to be re done
3. He always offered to above and beyond what was expected and nothing was too much to ask – he just wanted to do a great job

Thomas was wonderful too and contributed greatly to a great outcome. He was great to deal with and we loved having him as a part of the team.

Thank you to all of you for being so accommodating and for delivering a great end product! A few neighbours have asked who was doing the work so I’m sure you’ll get a few phone calls soon.

A year ago I met with Rhys in untidy yard surrounded by overgrown shrubs and small weed ridden lawn space. Rhys listened, took notes and photographs. My request for brief was easy to look after, lots of flowers and small vegetable patch.
A week or two later Rhys came back with a plan…amazing ideas for the transformation of yard.
Plant ideas forwarded to me for my comments, great choices of plants I knew and some unknown to me. Lots of flowers. New lawn. Replaced lemon tree and a Cumquat tree.
Rhys, Brad and his colleague Ricardo must be mentioned as outstanding, very pleasant, respectful workers to have on site. Lots of helpful hints from Brad when I asked many questions how to look after plants. I learnt a lot from these conversations.
This year Covid-19 meant lots of time self isolation at home, the garden has been a wonderful space to be in.
Lawn is beautiful, flowers all thru the year and importantly yard is easy care.
I am forever grateful to Just Scape It for the transformation of front and backyard spaces. No hesitation in recommending.

It was obvious from the outset that Rhys possessed fantastic knowledge of contemporary landscape design; his advice focused upon both aesthetic, as well as financial considerations. We found Rhys to be very enthusiastic about the contract to provide a sensory garden upgrade to a Nursing Home. Construction works entailed new pathways and watering systems, relocation and upgrade of seats as well as significant planting.

The job required a strict timetable and adherence to several additional standards of work required to ensure safety of all residents and staff within the facility. Rhys and his team conducted the work efficiently, with the workplace was always clean and completed the job well within the two week timetable, without any incidents nor complaints.
